EDUCATION

Thank you for your interest in the Bradshaw area! Bradshaw is part of the Heartland Community School District and we are eager to answer any questions that you may have about our highly respected school system.
Picture
The communities of Bradshaw and Henderson merged their two school districts into Heartland Community Schools back in 1998. Since that time, the district has been a source of pride for both communities and continues to be a successful and progressive collaboration. We gather 300 students each day from both communities and focus upon each student as an individual learner, regardless of their address.

We may be a small, rural school, but we have great things to offer our students and patrons. Our course offerings are wide-reaching beyond the basic core subjects, which is not always the case in small town Nebraska. The Heartland school board has made a commitment toward the ability to offer a variety of courses. Students can choose from upper level core offerings in addition to studies like agricultural science, industrial arts, music, art, business, and foreign language. Technology is abundant at all grade levels with students in grades 7-12 receiving a laptop computer for completing their schoolwork.

Over 90% of our students are involved in extra-curricular activities and take pride in making their best efforts toward any interest. Aside from the familiar sports programs, our students are involved in FFA, FBLA, music, art, drama, quiz bowl, and robotics teams just to name a few. For those middle school aged students who want to participate in activities after school, we offer transportation to Bradshaw after practice. In the fall of 2017, we are planning to offer after-school daycare in our facility for younger students as an additional convenience for our working parents.
If you would like more information about our national award winning students and highly progressive school system, please don’t hesitate to give us a call. You may also download our school brochure and visit our website by following the links provided on this page. We hope to visit with you soon!
